Hi, I'm Lauren
I design and build digital solutions that are beautiful, usable, and responsible.
I grew up in Hong Kong and am now a senior at Cornell University, studying Information Science with a minor in Computer Science. My work sits at the intersection of creativity and technology—I’ve always had an eye for visual aesthetics and a fascination with futuristic ideas, ever since I was a kid sketching imaginary worlds.
Today, I bring that same curiosity into designing and building digital experiences. My projects range from graphic design and photography to web development, all grounded in user-centered design principles and accessibility. I’m also deeply interested in responsible AI and how emerging technologies shape our society, raising new ethical questions about the future we’re creating.
At my core, I aim to craft work that is not only visually engaging but also thoughtful and socially responsible.

Interests
I’m passionate about music 🎤🎸—I sing, play guitar, and served as Music Director of a collegiate a cappella group.
I also love staying active and outdoors: tennis 🎾, running 🏃♀️, swimming 🏊♀️, skiing ⛷️, and scuba diving 🤿 keep me balanced and adventurous.
On campus, I serve as President of The Responsible AI Network, a student organization that explores how AI impacts society and fosters meaningful discussions around ethical AI 🤖⚖️ .
Projects
Forgotten Library
A full-stack Ruby on Rails web app inspired by Goodreads.
Forgotten Library lets readers discover books, share reviews, and build their own digital shelves. I designed and developed the site end-to-end with features like authentication, nested comments, likes, categories, and Google Books API integration. With a custom theme and responsive UI, it brings together community and design in an accessible, user-friendly experience.
Indie Music Album Art Catalog
A full-stack PHP web app for discovering and managing indie music album artwork.
CV Generator
A React application that allows users to create, customize, and export professional CVs as PDFs.
The app lets users input and edit their personal information, education, and work experience, and dynamically add custom sections like projects or awards. Each section supports real-time editing, validation, and formatting for a clean, printable layout. The final document can be exported directly to PDF with automatic styling optimized for A4 print.
Less Than Three A Cappella
A custom website for a collegiate a cappella group, built with PHP, HTML, and CSS.
The site highlights the group’s performances, members, and upcoming events in a clean, accessible layout. I focused on responsive design, intuitive navigation, and a modern aesthetic that reflects the group’s creative energy.
